The director created a Facebook group for that class to offer help and understanding, but the student who called the TV show kept interrupting. So, we blocked him to allow the others in the class to speak:

soft to meet them in person. Don’t tell me I don’t take initiative. Even though I was very proud of my efforts, I was extremely shy. Potential employers told me that the training I had followed was outdated, that if I had learned Substance Painter or UDK, for example, I would have been a good candidate.

Desgraff Wrongly Accused (Commentary).
At first, just a simple misunderstanding!
We had tested Substance software at the end of 2015+ when our professors (who follow industry news) saw that PBR textures were finally becoming a standard in 2016+. The problem is that the Sept 2015 group had just finished their first session. Texturing is taught in session 1...
We were not wrong. It’s normal in schools that some software may seem outdated by graduation because trends can change quickly during training.
+In this industry, graduates must make great efforts to get placed and always keep learning to stay up to date. Even seniors!
+Not all companies update their software at the same time.
+We offered this class at their graduation speech the chance to stay for free to improve their skills.
(None took the opportunity).
+Apart from the efforts to work in Quebec City, this student turned down a 3D job. “No, I’m not looking for a 3D job.” That’s what an employer who wanted to hire her for the beautiful 3D sets she made told us.
Unity or Unreal, it’s a matter of taste. She had Unity3D, which is in demand back then.
(One of the internal emails. This one is about UDK and Unity. There are other emails on Desgraff.com about Substance painter.)
